Senior Geologist

Volodymyr received his M.Sc. in Geological Engineering from the Lviv State University, Ukraine (USSR) in 1984. Volodymyr maintained his P.Geol. (OGQ) membership 2003-2020 (currently eligible). Volodymyr’s early experience was the detailed research on the orogenic quartz-carbonate vein gold deposit in Far East of Russia and development and implementation the criteria of preparing the exploration targets for advance exploration in the Urengoy gas field in the northern West Siberia Basin, Russia - the world's second largest natural gas field. Prior to joining APEX in 2020, Volodymyr had +20 years in grass roots projects and advanced evaluation of kimberlite occurrences in Canada, including till sampling, drill program planning, bulk sampling, managing, and was involved in the discovery, geological and resource work of the Renard ore bodies, Quebec. Volodymyr’s work included detailed petrological logging for classification of the kimberlite units for Renard resource evaluation for NI 43-101 compliance, and the pioneering project to use the sensor-based technology for diamond mining (Renard mine). Volodymyr work with APEX includes field exploration programs of soil sampling, geophysics, RC and core drilling on Archean lode-gold, poly-metallic vein, copper-silver epithermal, volcanic-hosted massive sulphide deposits (throughout Canada and the United States).
