This year, the field season keeps expanding: programs have been extended and new projects are starting soon. APEX is hiring geologists and geotechnologists to support ongoing and upcoming programs.

If you want real field experience on real projects, this is the season to get involved.

No two programs are the same. Depending on the project, you might be mapping, prospecting, sampling, logging core, supporting drill programs, collecting data, or coordinating field logistics. Our projects span a wide range of commodities, deposit types, and project stages, from grassroots exploration through to pre-feasibility, so you build broad, practical experience quickly. And your work matters: your field observations and data feed directly into technical planning and program decisions to ensure successful project outcomes.

Fieldwork can be physically demanding. You’ll need to be field-ready, physically fit, willing to travel, and comfortable working outdoors in varied weather, terrain, and remote conditions. Many projects involve rotations of three to four weeks in the field, so you should also be prepared to spend extended periods away.

Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada or the United States.

If you’re early in your career, you’ll work alongside experienced geoscientists who welcome questions and make time to share what they know. You’ll build confidence through hands-on experience, and as your skills grow, so will your responsibility. We don’t expect you to know everything. We expect you to be curious, communicate well, contribute to the team, and be dependable.

If you’re an experienced geoscientist, a field season with APEX is an opportunity to lead: mentoring junior staff, upholding the technical standards our work is built on, and taking a greater role in interpretation, program planning and management, and client interaction. • Geologist (3+ years): field-based mineral exploration programs across Canada, the Western US, and Australia. Mineral exploration logging and drill experience an asset.
• Project Geologist (7+ years): lead teams and run exploration programs in Canada, the US, and international destinations. Mineral exploration program management required.
• Junior Geologist / Geotechnologist: students and recent graduates; field-based positions.
