The North Queensland Vanadium Project (NQVP) is located in northwest Queensland, Australia, approximately 500 km southwest of the port city of Townsville. Historical exploration at the project has targeted five different deposit types including sedimentary-hosted phosphates, roll-type molybdenum-vanadium-uranium, IOCG deposits, kerogen in oil shale, and oil shale-hosted vanadium. The focus of current exploration programs at NQVP is oil shale hosted vanadium.
